Air Botswana has a reputation for quality
service on board its flights.Catering is provided by a company called
"Ground Crew" in Johannesburg and passengers
have the assurance of tasty food hygienically
prepared and well presented.
A wide range of special meals are
available by prior arrangement for passengers who
have particular dietary needs for health or
religious reasons. Meals and snacks include
complimentary soft drinks, wines, beers and
spirits.
A small selection of duty-free
items are available for sale on flights
outside the Common Custom Area (currently the
service runs between Gaborone and Harare and all
domestic routes). Passengers are welcome to buy
from the duty-free shop at Sir Seretse Khama
Airport in the International Departure Hall if
travelling outside the common customs
area.
Air Botswana also provides full catering,
including cabin crew, on wet-lease charter
services.
Cabin
Baggage
Due to limited cabin baggage space,
passengers are allowed only one small piece of
hand baggage not exceeding 7 kg. This is for
safety reasons, as the baggage has to fit in the
overhead stowage. Any excess hand baggage will be
placed in the aircraft hold at the boarding
time.
Smoking
In compliance with international health
trends, smoking is strictly prohibited on all Air
Botswana flights. Failure to comply could result
in prosecution.
Remain
seated
Air Botswana regards passenger safety as
number one priority. Therefore, passengers are
requested to remain seated with their seat belts
fastened during flight whether the seat belt signs
are on or off.
Portable Electronic
Equipment
Passengers are requested not to use
electronic equipment while on board the aircraft
as this may interfere with the aircraft avionics
systems.
